i didn't know who sang it (thanks jeff) but some of the lyrics are almost identical to those of u2's. hmm.
agreed. avril is the biggest poser i have ever met and shes not even a very good singer. i pretty much hate her guts.
man you guys are harsh... what about all the artists that dont write their own lyrics, yet they become so big... wow i am asking for it now...

no idea. but phantom- what's a poser? how do we know she's "posing"? she could be for real? you have to admit she has definitely made difference in the music industry. i think it's hard to hate someone's guts you've never met too. (see jeff, you still have a chance...)
yeah, i don't like avril. this lyrics thing reminds me of the poem some girl wrote for inklings (i think the fall 2004 issue, last page) when people were like, wow, that's deep. whereas i looked at it and said, that's nearly word for word a martin luther king, jr. quote.
Admidetedly I didn't even read the song lyrics, and just googled the first line to see who it was, when the search results came up I just found it fitting to leave my comment.
Kylester I am going to guess that you wrote that song, don't know if you did or didn't but it seems like something you would post. Also you wrote them all out rather than copying and pasting. I have a cool widget that automaticlly downloads the lyrics to whatever song I have on iTunes and I can one click copy them to the clipboard to paste, it's pretty cool. It's called pearLyrics for those of you with Tiger, I am sure there is a similar version for any windows users that have Konfobulator.
Also someone explain to me how avril changed music? She just seems like a madonna bad girl wannabe.
she opened up the world for pre-teen girls with angst. she started a fashion trend with the tank top and tie. i hate to say this, but if she was around when i was in middle school, i would've been a mini-her. luckily she hit it big when i was slightly more sound of mind.

I love Avril Lavigne's music. I don't know anything about her, but her music always helps me when I'm in a really shitty mood. She just seems to be able to sing what I'm feeling, and I can scream the lyrics to myself while I cry myself to sleep or whatever. Maybe she is a poser, but she's good company when I'm feeling alone.

no no no. brittney spears started the tie a long time ago. avril pretends to be a rocker but at heart she is just an ugly misfit.
if there is one thing in this world that bugs me the most i would have to say it could very well be people like avril lavigne. people who arent themselves and try to give off an image to be accepted. i cant stand it. thats exactly what avril has done. on top of it shes not even a good enough singer to be making cds.
Who decides who's a good enough singer? Obviously kylester and I are not the only ones who appreciate her music. Come on, now. Doesn't William Hung have a CD? He obviously sings worse than a badger on X. But if it sells....
i decide who is a good singer and not. and shes not. have you heard her sing live? i remember one time i was driving to school and on EVERY talk show i flipped on they were making fun of how bad she sounded. so apparently the radio people agree.
and we all know radio people are like everyone so therefore everyone agrees.
and william hung is so bad its funny. avril is just bad but not so bad its funny. just regular bad.
