they never go away!!!

i need college essay ideas.
yes, that's right. i have to write more college essays. just when i thought the days of applications and essays were gone.. pow! they are back. but, i can't complain b/c i knew it was coming. here's the story: i'm not exactly going to my first choice school, but i'm determined to make it there, so i'm in the lovely process of transferring. i've been talking to admission concelors, filling out paperwork, and getting copies of everything to try to make this work. so wish me luck, because i may be transferring as soon as january! which would be amazing. anyway, i really do need help with an essay topic, so think back to august and september when we first did this. thanks.

Write about a topic that shows the evolution of you. Take 4 years of high school and reflect on what you have learned and how that has changed you and the way you think. Now create an event(I dont think it has to be true does it?) and in a scene that takes no more than a day or two at the most tell a story using symbols and other characters to show how you have changed.

If you need inspiration on the format watch garden state, but don't copy it because you will get lost too fast.

yeah for transferring! here were some of my college essay ideas that you are welcome to: nancy drew, post-its, sea monkeys, converse shoes, clarinet, and etc. (the sea monkeys essay pretty much writes itself) good luck!

I actually never wrote a college essaay, so what exactly do you have to write about. Because my suggestion seems way different than Sea Monkies. I thought it was suppose to let them get to know about you.

it is suppose to let them know about me and the essay section just says "topic of your choice" so your suggestion worked as well as the suggestion of sea monkeys.. and how did you manage to not write any essays? where are you going?

i think for one college essay i used an essay from innocence and evil about death. but in another one i talked about something that changed who i am as a person (camp, though obviously this could be something different for you), and this seems like a pretty good topic.

Common Application Question 6: described your greatest role model. Your role model can be from history, a character from literature, an artist, an actor, etc. (or something like that)

this is the one i wrote on Nancy Drew. "nancy drew is my role model because she kicks ass and doesn't need the boys. she's an empowered woman."

"where are you going?"

hopefully not where any of you are going. hehe, ok I couldn't pass that one up. But it doesn't matter, enough people know, and I am sure google can tell you.
