Didn't we just go through that huge talk about respecting others and their opinions and beliefs?
whoa, whoa, whoa. hovis, she is not disrespecting anyone by simply posting an idea in opposition to yours! this is not a threat to your or anyone else who thinks differently!(i'm not even sure if steph believes in this but she may have just found it funny)she is allowed to express her views just as you are! no one here is out to get you, laura! no one here is trying to attack you or hurt you! but we have just as much right to express our views as you do! part of being openminded is being able to listen to the other view points without feeling attacked and without criticizing. that doesn't mean you have to accept them, but you can just listen with out judging. that is what open-mindedness is about. now you asked us to be open-minded and i ask you to be open-minded in return. no one is disrespecting you!

and hovis, i posted it because i thought it was hilarious that someone took the spaghetti monster idea and made it into a giant balloon and that its recognized everywhere.
and what does this have to do with respecting people's opinions and beliefs? i am confused as to how this could have been hurtful to anyone.
all i did was post a picture of a balloon somewhere in germany, is that a crime now?

No I do not believe in Intelligent Design and I do not feel attacked and I know no one is trying to hurt me, and I am not trying to attack or hurt anyone.
Just I am a bit overlysensitive to making jokes like this about someone else's beliefs because I have recently been having people make fun of things I feel very strongly about.
I just think it is better to be respectful.
this had nothing to do with beliefs.
its just a freakin hilarious idea to make this "thing" (used loosely there) into a balloon. i thought it was funny. guess i must keep my humor to myself now.
