i dont think i can make it because i think i have a party that i already told someone i was going to. however, that plan is not set in stone yet so never fear i may still be able to go!
tuesday! that sacrilegious! it's the all-star gam! i can't believe you'd even consider having a party! you have to go to mass (and by mass i mean sitting in front of the tv). you have to worship (and by worship i mean grovel at the feet of albert pujols). you have to pray (that the national league wins). for shame. it's a holy day.
personally, i like soiree or box social (you know that simpsons episode?)
All star games suck. Reason being, they make what is already a highly individual effort and completely destroys what it means to be a team by taking away what little chemistry the players have with the people they play everyday with.
All star teams are not teams. The only sports that should have all star events is one where only one person is involved in the actuall competition.
Take NASCAR for instance. IN the all star race, they have only the top qualifiers race so that it is interesting and there are no sucky people or cars. They don't however take the best ford, chevy, and dodge driver, combined them with the best ford chevy and dodge crew chief, and the best front tire man and back tire man and fuel man and spotter from each of the respectful car manufacurers. It just doesnt make sense that if you want to improve the quality of play(aka all stars) that you would destroy the team dynamics, especially when it is already difficult to argue baseball as a team sport.
missy, you can watch it over here. we'll still appreciate your unresponsive company, don't worry. yes, i was going for that episode. but i couldn't exactly put kegger, because that would be misleading.
hey jeff, this post is about a party. if you're not going to talk about the party, don't talk.
see jeff, normally i would agree with you because i think all star games are just a chance are just a chance to bloat audience viewing and promote some more damn products. but this year's all star game counts, because the winner gets homefield advantage in the world series, which as you know from last year, can make or break a world championship. so thus, i am very interested in this.
and anna- what, no keg? i'm shocked. sho-cked.
i want to come... inform me
if you just want to email me go for it: stephers118@sbcglobal.net
anna, i am so there.
does anyone else not even read jeff's comments anymore? I just kinda keep scrolling til i get to something interesting and not long winded.
i read maybe the first couple words in each paragraph, just in case there might be an interesting topic. this time: "all star games suck. all star teams are not teams. take nascar for instance." did nothing for me. i'm glad i didn't go to the effort of reading the whole thing.
i do that with everyone not just jeff. just scroll down. unless its tom or nick. because they are the funny comments.
then how did you know to respond to mine - if you didnt read it?
;)
just givin ya shit hovis.
katie jackson will be there with a keg
whats wrong with a kegger? in fact the most memorable party i went to was a kegger (just cause i went with mike though)
Nice, Katie. Two thumbs up for you.
