i'm back.
so i'm really depressed right now, even though i have flavor blasted goldfish. i really miss all of you, and i miss paul a lot, too. tonight i went to the city museum with kyle neely (sophomore year, he and laura anyone?) and my roommate, and some of kyle's friends. one of his friends, ian, looks like jude law, only shorter. the resemblance is uncanny! it's ridiculous...he's really cute. and we were waiting at the bus stop to go there, and we were chattting and stuff and i was like, he's really cool, we could be friends, and who knows? maybe more...well, nix on that. turns out he's dating maggie, one of the girls who was there tonight, and she was really cool too, i like her a lot. but like, i was alone with them sometimes while we were doing stuff, like painting and stuff (i made such cool artwork for my dorm room) and they were all comfy and chatty and cutsey with each other, and then we walked back to campus and he gave her a kiss on the cheek and all this stuff and i felt so so so lonely. i miss paul so much, and i don't feel like things are getting easier here. everyone else has so many friends already. and there was another guy there tonight, al, and he was really cool, too. but then he left early with a friend of his who came from out of town, and i doubt i'll see him again soon.
so this was a long depressing rant. no one's online...i bet you're all out partying. i wish i was. but no one invited me. i have nothing to do, either. let's see what's on the schedule for tomorrow....Face the Jury: something about alchohol and drugs and i heard we have to right a paper about it. awesome. what else...a tour of St. Louis. like i need that...a tailgate, and then a soccer game, and then some Bash in the student center.
well, i'll figure out tomorrow tomorrow. i'll talk to you all later. miss you.

i bet its weird to get culture shock in your own city...
join a club. they're automatic friends. but... you probably shouldn't join a club that's too bizarre to avoid being labeled as a weirdo. but i doubt that geeky clubs are such a problem at SLU, as opposed to grinnell, where most people don't care anyway if you belong to the sword-fighting club or the video game club or what.
