4 more years of nerinx

i knew that coming into wellesley. my theory was that going to nerinx was the best thing i ever did, so doing it for 4 more yeras would be good, right? i dunno. for the past 2 days, whenever someone said something about soph year, i kept thinking "doesn't apply to me because after 1st semester i'm transferring to wash u...." then i ate dinner with some awesome girls and changed my mind. anyway, here are some tales from an "all women's college":

in a classroom when somebody sneezes. all fifteen girls in the room look over and simultaneously say "god bless you"

met a girl from orange county who has kissed "seth" from "the O.C."

there are no "freshmen", there are only "first years." there are no "dorms", there are only "houses". there are no 1970s crap buildings, only stone walled structures.....

going to the MIT mixer on friday! parrrrtay!

everyone here is a poli sci major, which is why i'm now a poli sci/philosophy/spanish/french major. eat that bitches!

we had a meeting in our house. we made up chants and went and harassed the other residence hall. apparently there are friendly competitions between the houses. if there's a cup involved, i'm outta here.

p.s.- whoever said you don't need air conditioning in massachusetts was seriously disturbed. it's 95 and humid.

I have relatives that live in CT and the don't have AC. We visit them almost every summer and it has never been a problem. Just suck it up and stop complaining.

i have ac!! hahah!! my room is usually really cold too because my roomie is the goalie for the soccer team and gets really really hot at practice and so she turns it down when she comes in. :)

My roommate just loves his cold air, so I've been using my nice comforter every night (and some nights, wearing my Commie jacket to sleep). It's nice 'n cozy 'n shit.

we totally have houses, and a competiton, and....a house cup! just like in Harry Potter. except that the competition only lasted as long as truman week, and laura ditch and nicole's dorm won it.
