pirates II
hey,
just for the record, pirates II is awesome.
at the end though, i have to say that this trilogy really compares to the star wars trilogy. the way that the stories work at least. pirates I is cool and can stand on its own. then pirates II, the bad guys strike back and it's darker than the first (i'm trying not to give away anything). i hoping III will wrap up some of the stories (Davy Jones, love thing, will's father, etc). yay. pirates rock.
and johnny depp was amazing as usual.
though i think my favorite was that cool gypsy woman (who i can't remember the name of).

First of all, she's a Goddamn VOODOO priestess. Gypsy? ...WHAT!?
Secondly, her name doesn't really matter.
Thirdly, these movies should really just be called "Monkey Island: The Movies (minus the silly names)".

i was just very tired when i wrote this and so gypsy came to mind...so i wrote it. but she does tell futures and etc.
i agree. this movie was absolutely awesome! i loved the ending cause i was so pulled in and then the credits came up and i was just like "no way". i liked how dark it was and the fact that it was silly but not stupid silly. cool cool cool
i think the undead monkey was the best part...but that might just be me...
it was SO amazing. And it was soooo hilarious. Her name was Tia Dalma. They never said her name very clearly in the movie - but IMDB says that is her name. She was really cool. jh
one question: what the hell kind of accent did davy jones have?

Well I thought that one girl was so totally gnarly. You know the one in the scene where they're on the thing and then she comes out and she's all like, "Look now you can see me cause I'm in this movie and you're not you poor bastards." Yeah, her. You know.....can you tell I haven't seen it yet?
i think his accent was ....... guy with a squid like thing for a head. Yup, that's it.
