Calling people

Apparently there are some people that are feeling left out, and not wanted when they do not receive phone calls to do something. This is an understandable feeling, and it blows. I know we've all felt like the world hates us when this happens, but it has to be an even worse feeling to know that you've said it bothers you, and still no one does anything differently. I'm not here to point fingers, or to name names, but we're acting like 7th grade girlsm and we're better than that. So can we try and be mature and respectful of other's feelings? If you know something is going on, give everyone a call. No one likes to be left out. If you're organizing a big thing, call everyone. Don't just tell people after the fact that you have to call around to find out what's going on. At first even I was guilty of saying that to people, but put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if you wanted to hang out with a group, you had to call around asking if it was okay if you went? Wouldn't that feel as if you're intruding and that they don't want you there? That's how I would feel, and I'm dead inside. In closing, call people. It's not that hard. Who actually pays for their phone bill, and even so, what would one more phone call do to the bill anyway? That is all.

Speaking of phone bill, what is the most used plan of all the MS people?

I use the handy dandy phone that's attached to the wall in my kitchen. It even has that really cool spiral cord, so I can't talk anywhere but the kitchen, the back porch, and the servant's stairwell. It's so awesome.

haha, nice one mrm. i have 300 minutes a month with free weekends, but not free nights. it was the cheapest plan possible - $29.99 a month, but after tax and shit, and all my text messaging, more like $40.

The thing about calling 20+ people before you do something is that it kills spontanaeity. Just playing devil's advocate.

Why the fuck should you call everybody? It's not like you need to have everybody with you whenever you want to do something. Hanging out with smaller (but consistently different) groups > hanging out with the same huge group all the time.

Just a thought.

And calling everybody is a bear. It's easier to call a few people and hope they call others (if you want the whole "huge group" thing).

how about when you call someone, you ask that person to call three more people, and so on, so that everyone gets reached. like a phone tree with out the tree and the dorkiness.

ella, i like your idea but i think it has a problem. cuz, say you call me, thuy, and merge, and tell us to call three people. i naturally want to call people in my area, so i would think to call merge, miryam, and katie. while merge would probably be calling miryam too. get my drift?

my point is, in order for it to work, i think we actually need a phone tree, as middle-aged as that may make us.
