so i had a really boring evening at work but for some reason i just couldn't focus on my latin studying (exam 9am). instead, i scribbled for an hour or so, then eventually started playing with numbers. for some reason i started writing 2 exponentially. i got to 2^60. which, if my math is right (and if it's not, i don't want to know!), is:

seem creepily obsessive? i think so too. then i came home and, instead of studying, wander around a bit, call reba and talk for a while, then watch an episode of firefly with a friend. oh yeah. i'm cool.
but on the bright side, i found out that the prescribed font size for my latin paper is really only a MINIMUM size. so my paper is actually a beautiful wonderful length! no worries!
funny numbers story: i was just telling jeff yesterday how in second grade we tried to write a googleplex. you know, 10^(10^100). remember that werndawg? or was it third grade?
ReplyDeleteare you sure we were that clever that early? because i remember being more stupid than that. we didn't know what exponents were then, silly. we didn't start multiplying in school until third grade. hey, remember that time i used the pythagorean theorem and it wasn't a square angle but it worked anyway? choice.

yeah, we didn't know it was that exponent stuff, i just wrote that to make it easier, ya know? and of course we were that clever. and i dooo remember that! you are pretty much amazing.
