That will not be true at every school. The people here at Loyola fucking suck ass. Seriously. What is the deal with the major opions at St. Mikes? Is there like 5 majors or can you not make up your mind? Even more than that, people get in to med school who don't major in bio or pre-med at college. You just need to keep two things in mind: What is best for my carreer and what is best for my happiness, because the bottom line is happiness.porgiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04599137208135388220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11814405.post-1143066788484310832006-03-22T16:33:00.000-06:002006-03-22T16:33:00.000-06:00I don't think your surroundings are what you make ...I don't think your surroundings are what you make them. I am sure that is true to an extent, but you can't make a shithole not a shithole. It will always be a shithole. Sure you can have fun in a shithole, but then think of how much more fun you could have in a nonshithole town.

I think you should go to SLU as well just because I am selfish and want to see you!

But I also agree with Amanda. Going to a school that is not in St. Louis is better than going to a school in St. Louis for sure. If I wasn't so close with my family and if I wasn't dating Tom I would totally be transfering to a school somewhere awesome instead of Mizzou.

And as for the friends thing, I never left Nerinx because I had good friends there. I will probably regret that my whole life. I should have left Nerinx and friends are a stupid reason - you will always have friends wherever you go. And look at how close all the Nerinx girls are even though we are all so far apart. If you have really close friends you could still be close. Me and you don't get to see each other and we are still best friends.Reinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11042999076373075677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11814405.post-1143064979816987272006-03-22T16:02:00.000-06:002006-03-22T16:02:00.000-06:00Mrm, I basically agree with what everyone else sai...Mrm, I basically agree with what everyone else said, especially Anna. :) Good luck with deciding!! Some jobs out there just need an undergrad degree and that's what people will be living their lives off of.. example: me as a nurse.. yep undergrad is going to get me in a hospital working on people and that's what i want to do, sure I'll go to grad school eventually to specialize in something, but your degree does matter alot just think of all the jobs that don't require master's degrees and it will put things in perspectiveStephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03503442911725462171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11814405.post-1143043008828786062006-03-22T09:56:00.000-06:002006-03-22T09:56:00.000-06:00I also think that surroundings are what you make t...I also think that surroundings are what you make them....and your undergrad degree isn't that important, especially if you are going to grad school. My cousin went there, payed a shit ton of money, and got a degree in something she can't use. SMS would have been amazing community up from and so-so majors. You make your surroundings what you want them to be, but you can't change the basics of the school that you are at. I dunno if that helped. Best of luck to you Miryam!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03503442911725462171noreply@blogger.com
